We had the best time on our weekend getaway. With no set agenda, we discovered lots of new places in NYC that I will definitely be going back to!
I made us take pictures everywhere so I could tag us on Instagram to remember where we ate/drank.
Our first day we ate lunch at the 'small French restaurant that we fell upon on my bachelorette party'. We did indeed find it and it's name was Le Grainne Cafe in Chelsea. Fabulous lunch spot.
Mrs Sharon had booked us dinner at Rouge et Blanc where her best friend's son is the head chef. He sent out most everything on the menu and it is worth going back to. The food was wonderfully unique.
We slept in each day so we were in the search of food when we got up and moving. Ashley researched and found Friedman's in Chelsea right around the corner from our hotel. It did not disappoint and might be one of the best meals we had in NYC. It specialized in gluten free so I had a tough time deciding between chicken and waffles and avocado toast. I went with the latter and it did not disappoint. The wind was obviously horrific and it was very cold. How else do you do NYC?
The Rockefellar tree was being set up. Can you believe all of that scaffolding?? And I thought my tree was a pain in the rear. I'll never complain again. Maybe.
After a 'long day' of shopping we treated ourselves to afternoon 'tea' at Bergdorf Goodman which just so happen to be a glass of Veuve. A must do! The people watching is like no other.
A martini at Trump Tower is just what we needed before we had to run home to get ready for our show on Broadway.
We saw Kinky Boots and it was so entertaining. Mrs. Sharon was not actually in the show, but she could have been. We had our wine sippie cups before going into the theater. We laughed about these throughout the evening.
After the show, we were so hungry and were just trying to find quick food without stopping at a fast food joint (which you would think would be on every corner until you start looking for one at 12:30am). We happened upon The Skylark which happened to be a bar on the top level of a high rise which told us they served food until we got to the top. The view kept us there for a drink. The music (Madonna) and the people watching was great too. We did find a McDonalds on the way back to our hotel and devoured some fries and hamburgers (not me, obvs) before crashing.
Grant was keeping Piper so he went home to share her with her GiGi and Pappy. I received this picture from them and immediately missed this sweet face. She loves climbing under things so it was no surprise to me that she was under the stool. She continues to smile so much. It's amazing how much it makes me smile. I could look at that face all day long even while in New York.

Meredith has 2 good friends that live in NYC that gave us some recommendations. In fact on Saturday they met us at brunch at Cafe Cluny in the West Village. It was a small, but awesome brunch spot and lots of filming goes on here.
We had another day of shopping and then happy hour at The Standard Grill at the The Standard Hotel. We shared a punch bowl, oysters and a cheese plate. Does it get any better than that? And all of that was before dinner at Colicchio and Sons restaurant in the Meat Packing District.
This was a great weekend with great ladies!
